COMEX Silver futures tanked today, sliding in tune with Gold and Copper prices as a firm US dollar hurt commodities. The white metal tanked near a 15 month low, almost testing $22 per ounce. The metal currently trades down 1.30% at $22.39 per pound. The precious metals are getting hit amid soaring US bond yields and weak equities. The US 10-year yields are quoting at a near three month high of 1.52%.US 10-year benchmark bond yield continued to rise today as markets focused on US fiscal policy with the House of Representatives due to vote on a $1 trillion infrastructure bill this week, while a September 30 deadline on funding federal agencies could force the second partial government shutdown in three years.
